Marination wins the title of Best Food Cart in the Country!

Posted: December 11th, 2009 | Filed under: food, logo

We are always happy to see good people succeed at the things they are passionate about, but when it’s a client and friend it makes it that much sweeter. Marination, a company we recently created a logo for, recently won Good Morning America’s title of Best Food Cart in the Country. A well deserved award. These are great people producing great food, it really doesn’t get any better folks. Go eat some taco’s and thank us later. Congrats ladies.

Check out the GMA official announcement here.

Little taste of the work we did for them:

Roll Out…

Posted: June 16th, 2009 | Filed under: branding, food | Tags: Marination

We just recently wrapped up a *brand project for a company called Marination and it is with great pride and a hungry stomach that we watch as they hit the streets tomorrow for their official launch. I’ll let them describe what it is they do and why you NEED to hit them up:

Marination specializes in Hawaiian and Korean curb cuisine that is always fast, usually marinated in a signature sauce, frequently served in a tortilla, and mostly healthy. Our rolling street kitchen is a righteous destination for carnivores and vegetarians alike.

Check them out at marinationmobile.com, follow them on Twitter, read their blog, eat their food. It’s only a matter of time before they blow up so get in on the ground floor and get in the know. Tell your friends…they will thank you.

*We will be updating the site soon with some new work coming out of LR, to include the Marination stuff…so stay tuned.

Sunday at Seattle’s Folklife Festival: recap

Posted: May 25th, 2008 | Filed under: food, music

We couldn’t let a beautiful Sunday in Seattle go to waste. For those who couldn’t make it to the Sasquatch Festival or others who just simply got tired of all the BBQ-ing (is that even possible?), Seattle’s 37th Annual Folklife Festival was jumping off at the Seattle Center Grounds: a 4-day, free event showcasing outstanding and unique local, national and international talent, performing arts, and world cuisine. 10,000+ were in attendance today (I counted). Good people. Good vibe. Good music. Perfect.

Everyday at Folklife is a surprise. Today had an “island” feel. Lots of rastas, drum circles, scents of Jamaican spices, mango lemonade. Lord ‘ave mercy.

Seattle’s own (and LeftRight familia) Koreionz plugged in at the Fountain Lawn Stage at 6:15. They were a last minute fill-in, and we, as well as the crowd, felt it was a smart decision made by the event planners. They only performed 5 songs from their new album. Beginning to end was filled with melodic harmonies and deep, rhythmic bass and drums. The crowd LOVED every second.

Koreionz at Folklife

roots, rock, reggae

Last song. Free stickers for the crowd

Look out for the Koreionz new album entitled “Half-Hour Revolution” dropping early summer. Logo, stickers, website, and album artwork conceptualized, designed, and laid out by LeftRight (shameless plug!). 50% of proceeds benefit The Service Board, a local non-profit organization that provides high school-age youth with life-changing experiences that build self-knowledge, skills, courage, and determination. Real recognize real.

Oh, and we couldn’t leave without one of these:

Elephant ear. Yummy.
